Seven Awards at MADF Easter Festival of Full-Length Plays

Great news! The University Players won the MADF Easter Festival of Full-Length Plays, which took place at the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas (Isle of Man) from Saturday 15th – Friday 21st April 2017. We were awarded seven trophies in total:
The F.M. Cubbon Trophy for Best Play
The John Bryan Award for Audience Appreciation
The J & B Green Award for
Costume and Makeup:

The Richard Harris Memorial Trophy for
Best Ensemble Acting
The Raven Players Award for
Best Producer/Director:

The Michael J. Lees Award for
Best Dramatic Moment:
Drowning Girl and Wedding Dance
The Backstage Trophy:

The Hamburg Players

We are very proud and grateful for all the support we got during the very short and intense rehearsal process. A very special thank you goes out to the Hamburg Players, who allowed us to "borrow" their wonderful lighting designer for this project.
As festival winners, we are eligible to participate in the British All Winners Festival, which will be held in Barnsley from Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd July 2017.
Lift Not the Painted Veil / Frankenstein will be shown in Hamburg on the 22nd / 23rd of June, 2017. More Information to follow on the University Players' website..
