Guest lecture within the framework of the Hamburg Talks on Current Issues in World Englishes

On Tuesday, Dec 7, 2021, Dr. Olga Maxwell, Melbourne, will hold a lecture on: "Challenges of investigating New Englishes in multilingual settings: variability versus uniformity in Indian English".
Abstract: Indian English is one of the most studied varieties of New Englishes, with a large body of research focusing on its distinctive features. This talk presents the results of two studies investigating different phenomena of Indian English and discusses the complex issue of uniformity and variability within this variety.
