Colloquium on Graphic Literature

The science forum "Drawing Illness. Graphic Memoir and the Art of Getting Better" will take place on April 20, 2017, at 6 p.m. at the Graphic literature store "Strips & Stories", Wohlwillstr. 28, Hamburg. The event is organized within the framework of the research project "Medienästhetische Strategien des Rahmens und Übersetzens von Graphic Novels" of the scientific network "Übersetzen und Rahmen. Praktiken medialer Transformationen" (FÜR).

The lectures held will be:

Katie Green: "Drawing Shadows"

Lukas Etter: "Lines, Curls, Scribbles: Individual Drawing and Individual Style“

with a subsequent discussion with

Katie Green (author of Lighter than my Shadow), Lukas Etter (University of Siegen), Christina Maria Koch (University of Marburg) and Johannes C. P. Schmid (University of Hamburg).
Chairperson: Astrid Böger (Universität Hamburg, Arbeitsstelle für Graphische Literatur)

Admission is free. The event will be held in English language.
