The Department of Uralic Studies will guide you through the Year of the Forest Nenets starting in April 2024. Each month we will present you with an expression that roughly corresponds to our respective month. February is the month of the first arrival of the eagle: as it is still cold, the eagle flies away.

As explained in the article for January, it is very cold on the Taimyr Peninsula in winter. So, it's no wonder eagles are spotted in the sky, but then immediately turn back and stay in warmer areas for the time being.

Месяц первого прилета орла

Февраль – месяц первого прилета орла: так как еще холодно, орел назад улетает.

Как уже рассказывалось в январской статье, зимой на Таймырском полуострове очень холодно. Поэтому неудивительно, что орлы появляются в небе, но тут же поворачивают обратно и остаются до поры до времени в более теплых краях.
