This online seminar will present the global policy to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in the Global South (REDD+). It will present a brief introduction about what is the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) and the REDD+ implications for Nicaragua and other Latin American countries (e.g., Guatemala, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, and Honduras). This session will highlight the role of women's participation in implementing the REDD+ readiness process. The seminar aims to draw attention to indigenous and afro-descendant people's outlooks in the REDD+ readiness processes. In the end, it will be a discussion space for questions and answers.
